Mindray DC-70 Review:

The Mindray DC-70 1.0 launched in April 2016, and the new Mindray DC-70 2.0 has been released with more advanced options and premium transducers in Nov, 2016. Like other Mindray ultrasound systems, the Mindray DC-70 has feature-rich products both hardware and software. In addition, Since Mindray launched its premium grade product, Resona, premium user interfaces and options have been migrated to lower grade products, such as the Mindray DC-70. For the last decade, the major market focus of Mindray products was general imaging with strengths in multi-purpose systems structures and rich features. In terms of completeness of each feature, Mindray has been made a great step. Those achievements and benefits have been nicely integrated to the Mindray DC-70 too. The Mindray DC-70 2.0 transplants the same innovative Resona volume-rendering algorithm to achieve innovative 3D/4D performance, faster rendering speed, and higher quality imaging processing for more vivid rendering results.

Although the Mindray DC-70 is a mid-range system, it gives various options for the system work better; the high quality and density linear transducers are one of those that L14-6NE and L14-6WE are a great selection to have better 2D resolution and PW sensitivity. In addition, with 2.0 of DC-70, higher end transducer solutions are available. For deeper penetration in GI for C5-1E, the lower frequency linear option for L9-3E, expanding dedicate cardiac exams for SP5-1E, P10-4E, and P7-3TE(TEE), and biplane transducer CB10-4E for urology. Besides those additional options, 2nd generation contrast imaging and 2D tissue tracking are outstanding options too, which are not available at mid-range, but is only available to the Mindray DC-70. While presenting the Mindray DC-70 to customers, full screen image (iZoom) with needle visualization, touchscreen working with gesture, 30 degree steerable Color angle, and Echo boost enhancing endocardium margin definition are favorably received.

The GE Voluson E8 has high-quality images in all settings, but the system is most impressive when you are viewing its HDlive high-resolution 4D images. HDlive is GE’s advanced 4D imaging in high definition. The resolution and detail of HDlive versus traditional 4D images are breathtaking and can improve the ultrasound’s efficiency in clinical applications. The difference can be compared to switching from an analog TV to an HD TV. Since GE launched HDlive in 2012, several other manufacturers have created their own versions of HD 4D imagery. However, the HDlive featured on the Voluson E8 is still the most popular. The detail, shading options, and fast frame rates of the Voluson E8 keep this ultrasound at the top of the pack for 4D ultrasounds. The enhanced 4D resolution on the Voluson E8 also enables obstetricians to have a better volume assessment of the first-trimester anatomy as well as vascular structures. The Mindray M9 is the top-of-the-line portable ultrasound machine from Mindray and builds on the previous M7 and M5 portables. It is based on Mindary’s new generation platform and single crystal probes which allows for better penetration and higher resolution. The M9 is targeted at the portable high-end cardiac market with full cardiac features, transducers (including TEE), and full measurement packages. It can be used about 90 minutes with the built-in battery and with a trolley mounted battery pack it lasts over 3.5 hours.
